Hi I'm Jennifer

I love to laugh. I read my scriptures and pray everyday. I'm a vegetarian. I'm a volunteer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite quote... "A firm grip on the gospel of Jesus Christ will result in a safe trip through life." I want to make a difference in the lives of those around me. I want everyone I meet to remember me as a Christlike person. My favorite scripture, if it's possible to have just one favorite, is Matthew 514-16. I try at all times to be a light to the world around me. I love to read and make up fun stories with little kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true and that is why I'm a Mormon. I have been blessed with a testimony of the fullness of the gospel so it would be very ungrateful of me not to be an active member of the church.

How I live my faith

I work with the young single adults in my area. I help plan activities that help us come closer together as young followers of Christ. I am a active visiting teacher -- I visit other sisters from my branch with my companion once a month -- because I know how important it is to be able to talk and discuss our daily lives with those with our same beliefs. I find it refreshing to hear about how the sisters I visit are able to live their lives in the world and not be of the world.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We believe as far as the Bible is translated correctly it is the word of God. There are so many great teachings from the Savior's life that we would be missing out on if we didn't have the Bible. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Personal revelation will come to you as you study the words in the scriptures. I know this to be true because it has worked for me in my own life. I love reading the scriptures and each time I do I find that I learn something new.  Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No. The Mormon church encourages all members to choose the candidates that will best lead in a righteous, moral way. Every member is encouraged to vote and have their opinion be heard on whatever the current issues may be. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

I think it is because of a lack of understanding of what the church does. Righteous members of the church live their lives differently than some people in the world and sometimes people don't spend enough time to see how much good our life style helps our surroundings. Show more Show less

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Thomas S. Monson. President Monson is a great man and is a mouthpiece for God in our day. Show more Show less
