Hi I'm Alison

I grew up in California, as a daughter of a Methodist minister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother with 3 teenagers and a school age child. Scrap booking, reading and spending time with my family are my loves. I work a little bit each week as nurse/lactation consultant and go to Jazzercise regularly. Southern California has been my home for a long time.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church as a teenager and have never regretted it. The idea of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as separate beings with bodies of flesh and bones made perfect sense to me. It felt right . As I learned more about the gospel of Jesus Christ I came to know through the Holy Spirit that this is His true church on the earth today. Being a Mormon, I have learned God has a plan for me and for each one of his children. As I follow His plan, I feel His love for me continuously. He is the source of all my happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving as a young women's leader. With other adult leaders we plan and carry out activities for youth such as dances, conferences, camp and other uplifting and fun activities. We visit the young women in their congregations(wards) and train their leaders throughout the year. Through service my faith is strengthened as I see miracles in my life and those around me.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Alison
No, we worship God, our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was the man through whom Christ's church was restored in modern times. Show more Show less
