Hi I'm Becca

I grew up on the beautiful NC coast. I want to be a teacher when I grow up. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of 4 kids by atleast 11 years. I have 12 nieces and nephews. My family is the best. And if that wasn't enough.. I have been blessed with the greatest friends a girl could ever ask for! I grew up by the beach and sometimes I think I must have salt water in my veins! I love everything about the coast! Right now I am going back to school to get a Master's in teaching Middle Grades Education. I love to travel and experience new things. I can't wait to see what else is in store for me!

Why I am a Mormon

My mom is a fourth-generation Mormon, my dad a convert. I grew up in the church and was baptized at 8. Although, I don't feel like my true conversion came until later. Everything about this gospel makes sense to me. No doubt I faced struggles of my own but though everything I always knew this gospel was true. I can still remember the first time I read the Book of Mormon and knelt to ask God if it was true. An undescribable feeling overcame my whole body. I felt happy and secure and tears streamed down my face as I came to a sure knowledge that the book was true and that the gospel of Jesus Christ had been restored in its fulness to the earth again. I made the choice to serve a mission for the church. It was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have seen the gospel of Jesus Christ transform lives and families. I have felt it transform my own. I have a sure testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives! Every fiber of my being tells me so! And for that I am eternally grateful!!

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday School in the Young Single Adult ward in my area. I love the opportunity that I have to learn and to serve. This is a gospel of action and so the best way to live my faith is the act! Do something. Help someone. Be happy. Love freely. I'm far from perfect but I do the best I can to be like my Savior. Luckily thats all he asks! I find comfort in reading the scriptures and hearing the words of the prophet and apostles. I know that if I pray God will hear and answer my prayers. Each day I strive to do better and be better than the last. I know this church is true! I feel extremely blessed to have it in my life!
