Hi I'm Brett

Just a geeky goof in the Northwest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mechanical technician I fix things from the Pacific Northwest. Also a PT student working on a civil engineering degree. I like to read, learn, listen to podcasts and music, draw, laugh and many other things and love dogs. Single and constantly trying to figure out my own life.

Why I am a Mormon

I've pretty much grown up in the church. And while growing up I didn't have any reason to question my membership or the beliefs of the church. Later, after hearing so many other Mormons say they know the church is true, I came to a point where I just needed to know for myself. I searched the scriptures and studied the teachings of the church and then, like anyone will tell you to do, I asked in prayer about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, if the church is Gods church, and about the prophets, Joseph Smith and the living prophet today. I don't know if it's anything I can describe, and it seems like most everyone will or has had different experiences, but it was like I was filled with light and the truth of those things are not things I can deny.

How I live my faith

Though I'm no good at it, I like to look for things I can do for others. Usually I end up just listening to others' stories, sometimes they just need someone to talk to, but I really wish I can do more for them.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Of course and why not? They are his sheep too. Gods work is eternal, and ever reaching. It is not limited to any one, small group. The Book of Mormon just shows that God the Father and Jesus Christ cares about all of us. Show more Show less
