Hi I'm Megan

I have two kids and I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my husband on a blind date and we have been inseparable ever since. We have two cute children, a boy and girl, and I have the wonderful opportunity to stay home and raise them. Being a full-time mom is my dream job, I love it! One of my favorite things to do with my kids is to go on walks and spend time exploring nature together. In my spare time I love to sing and act. Performing has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy doing community theater whenever I get the chance. I especially love performing with my husband who also sings and acts. My family is my greatest joy in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and was baptized a member of the Church when I was eight years old. I have always had a strong belief in Jesus Christ and his gospel. I know this is His Church and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I know I am a daughter of God and that we are all his children. Having a close relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is what brings me so much joy in this life. Life is not without it's trials and rough patches, but having faith and trusting in the Lord not only helps me endure those hard times, but makes me stronger for having gone through them. I am grateful to know that God still speaks to us through living prophets and apostles. I know Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, which testifies of Jesus Christ. I am strengthened daily as I read from it's pages and seek to know the truths that are written in that holy book. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and I know that as I repent of my sins and come unto Him, I can be cleansed and be made whole again. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers, just as he heard the prayers of young Joseph Smith, and through him, restored the gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel so blessed to know of God's Plan of Happiness for his children, and I hope to be able to share the joy the Gospel brings with others. Each day my goal is to be a little more like Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite parts of being a mom is being able to teach my children about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. Knowing that my children are looking to me for an example of how to live makes me want to be the best person I can be each day. Daily study of the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father for guidance helps me to stay focused on living in a way that is pleasing to God, and ultimately makes my life so much more enjoyable. In church I am in charge of coordinating the music each week and choosing the hymns that the congregation will sing. It may seem like a small job, but music adds so much to our meetings and I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity. I also have 3 ladies that I have been called to visit each month and see to their spiritual and temporal needs. Taking time away from my family to serve others is not always easy and it takes careful planning, but I know that when I am serving those around me, I am serving the Lord.
