Hi I'm Debbie

I've experienced tragedy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with two children, teach an early morning seminary class for high school seniors, work as a middle school librarian, am a graduate student getting a teaching credential, love to hike, read, and cook. I have completed four marathons, served a mission to Brazil, and play the violin in a local symphony.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it is true - it really is!! Everything good in my life is a result of being a Mormon. It provides me with the "big picture" and the perspective to keep focused on the things that bring true joy. It is the only church that provides all of Christ's teachings and the answers to get me through my trials.

How I live my faith

Every school day I get up at 4:45 am to get ready and go teach a group of youth about the gospel of Jesus Christ. They attend an hour-long class every day before heading off to school. There are 28 seniors in my class and it is amazing to feel of their love for the Savior and to hear of their challenges and commitment to try and live more Christlike lives. I also volunteer at my daughter's school to be a voice for good.
