Hi I'm Rory

I was born in Canada. I believe in Christ and his Atonement. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Canada. I am a very quiet person usually and like to listen more than talk. I enjoy reading and watching old movies. I'm a very old-fashioned person really. Right now I'm serving a mission in Las Vegas. I came to try and help people find the truth about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I want to share with them the truth that God and Jesus Christ desire for all their children to come home to them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus is the Son of God and Savior of the world. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ did appear to Joseph Smith and that they did give him the authority of the Priesthood. I know that the Book of Mormon was written by prophets in the ancient America's and Joseph Smith translated them by the power of God. This knowledge guides me. I know that by living his laws his way we can return to live with him again. That is the greatest gift of God. Eternal life with Our Savior and families. All are invited to partake of these blessings.

How I live my faith

I try to help others as much as I can. Even by saying hello to them on the street. This is a small thing but it might make someone feel better. If it does I'm glad I could be helpful to someone. I follow the Savior's teachings as best as I can. If I mess up(and I do) I know I can repent and try again. I am so grateful to my Savior that I have that chance. He is my Rock and my Salvation. I know through him I can be cleansed from my sins if I repent and forsake them. How blessed this world is because of that Man. I love him like I love no one else. And I try to show that love with everyone I meet.

What is faith?

Rory
Faith is believing in something that cannot be proven physically. I cannot present scientific evidence that shows the existence of Heavenly Father yet I know he is there. That belief is more important than proof. If I had proof I would have no excuse if I made a mistake for I would have a perfect knowledge. But since I can only believe I can be forgiven if I falter and likewise progress if I do what is right. Faith is an important thing indeed. It is the first step to heavenly glory. Before we can do anything else, we must have faith in God and the Savior. Show more Show less
