Hi I'm Marlene

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a retired 1st grade teacher which I loved. I also love retirement! I play the organ and piano at church. I also enjoy playing tennis and golf (a little), and of course being with my grandchildren. I have a new greatgranddaughter in Okinawa who I haven't seen yet, and another one on the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Baptist church and loved it. I married a "Mormon" and investigated the church. I was so excited that I already believed most of what I was told - there's just a lot more in the restored gospel. I was baptized into the church 2-22-62 and have learned SO MUCH. My present husband is NOT a member, and I'm the only member in my family. I feel so much joy in the gospel - I wish everyone had what I have.

How I live my faith

I have spent many years working with children in the church, either teaching, helping them sing, or playing the piano. I've played the organ in Sacrament Meeting for years, and am now working with our Visiting Teaching program. Women in the church commit to contact several other women each month so that everyone feels part of the program and feels the love of one another. I also work in the Family History Center, helping members and nonmembers find their ancestors.
