Hi I'm Nathan

I love dirtbiking and photography and i'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern Arizona for about 15 years of my life. I moved back to utah in 2006-07 and love the mountains alot. I go up there every chance i can get to take photographs, or ride a dirtbike up on the trails. One of my favorite moments is in the fall time riding my dirtbike in the moutains 9k feet high up after a rain. Nothing better than that. Currently i am serving a full time mission for the church in The Michigan Lansing Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

For years i relied on the testimony of my parents. It was the first few months of my mission that really converted me to the faith. However I still do not know or understand everything but do we expect to in this life? I don't. I would like to know enough to understand and to really feel that this religion is true. I hope you do as well.

How I live my faith

I strive to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the doctrine contained in the bible, book of mormon and modern works.

What is faith?

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

The church meetinghouse is a place where the saints gather to 'renew' their baptismal covenants they made at baptism by partaking of the sacrament. Attending church we also gather together to learn more about Christs gospel and help each other by sharing our own knowlege and testimonies we have gained so we learn together. The temple is the house of the lord where sacred ordinances are performed. These sacred ordinances are required for eternal life. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Many of the plain and precious truths contained in the bible were lost or purposely left out by man over the thousands of years in translations. We believe the bible is the word of God, as far as it is translated correctly. The book of mormon is not to replace or remove anything from the bible, but it is meant to co-exist with the bible and help one another. The book of mormon contains the fullness of the gospel. The book of mormon testifies of the bible and vice versa. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Young men are highly encouraged to serve missions when they are 19-21 years old. Men ususally serve for 2 years. Women serve usually for 18 months. Seniors can also serve couples missions together. I started serving when i was 20 years old and I will be nearly 23 when i return. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Just think of this... What about a man who grew up in China that has never even heard the name Jesus Christ before. What if he dies.. Is he doomed? Not at all. God is a fair god and a just god. He has a perfect plan that allows us ALL to make it back to him. Baptism is a required ordinance to enter into the kingdom of God. Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

You can get in contact with the church by going to mormon.org and request the missionaries to visit your home. They will help you on the path to becoming a member of Christs church. Another way is finding a local LDS church house and talking to somebody. (most likely on sunday somebody will be there) Show more Show less
