Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 22 years old. I'm from Wyoming and currently going to school at BYU. I'm the oldest of 8 children. I like music, I play piano, and I do enjoy sports. The truth is though, when it comes to playing sports, I'm two left feet. I spent two years in Paraguay as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always asked myself, "What does God expect of me? Does He have a plan for me? Is what I do with my life important to Him?" The beauty of life is that we are never alone, forgotten, or forsaken. God does exist and we are the very center of His attention and concerns. Believing and knowing that, I asked God in prayer if what I was following was true and came from Him. He did answer and I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I consider the best way I can live my faith is by doing just that; living. It is a part of me know. It is nothing that I can set aside or forget. My faith affects all that I do. It influences my habits, ethics, pursuits, and character. The more I live it, the happier I become.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Chris
They will ask simple questions to know you and understand your point of view. They will ask you what role religion has played in your life. They will ask about your family, values, goals, and perhaps even fears you have in life. They will be respectful of time and feelings. Their teachings will center on Jesus Christ. They will also explain that although they are unaware of your difficulties, challenges, or trials, you can and will find help as you accept and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. The principles to His teachings are universal and they have been tailor fit for each and every individual, wherever he or she may find themselves as they make their way through this mortal journey of ours. They will talk about what God expects of you and what blessings and joy you will receive from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the end, the decision to learn more and to accept their message depends on you. Trust in God, ask Him if it is true. And, please, do what he expects of you when you receive an answer. Act in accordance to His reply. Show more Show less
