Hi I'm Becky
I'm a stay-at-home mom with a passion for writing novels, running, and dancing. I'm a Mormon.
I'm a mom to boys, so I know how to pronounce a lot of dinosaur names and how to clean up legos. I enjoy driving my kids around and helping them achieve what they've set out to do. Before I had kids, I worked as an English teacher at a college. I plan to go back to teaching once my kids are older.
I grew up in a home with really great parents. My mom is Mormon. My dad wasn't sure whether God exists. As a young child, I could see that my prayers were answered, so I learned that God is real. But I still wasn't sure about my church. I had a lot of friends from other religions. I knew their religions were good too, and I wanted to know for myself if the Mormon church was right. At age 17, I decided to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true. I felt overwhelming peace in my heart and knew I should follow the teachings of the Mormon church.
I try to be kind and friendly to others. I want to treat others the way Jesus would. Right now, my husband is a bishop, which is like being a minister in another religion. He also has a full-time job apart from being the bishop. A lot of times, he is gone at night and Sundays. He counsels with members about their problems and tries to help them. While he does that, I am usually home with our children, making sure they get to all their activities and that the homework gets done. When I was a youth leader a few years ago, my husband was the one staying home with the kids at night. So, we've taken turns.
