Hi I'm Heather

I'm a basketball playing, outdoor loving and photo taking mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a potato farm in Idaho. I spend my days cleaning up spilled cereal, reading storybooks, and getting the best hugs from two little wiggle worms. When I'm not doing these things, I attend book group, attempt to learn the piano, play basketball, take and edit photos and do anything I can outside!

Why I am a Mormon

About a year ago, I wrote in my journal, "When you wonder about the truthfulness of this gospel, think of where Grandpa is. Where DO we go after death?" Whenever I read this, it reaffirms to me that we have a loving Father in Heaven who has a plan for us and it is a plan of happiness. Our time on earth is a time to learn and remember the relationship we have with Heavenly Father. I am his child. He loves me. And so he sent His Son to provide a way for myself, and all of his other children to return to Him. This is His church. By living according to the truths and principles the church teaches, I find the happiness He has designed for us.

How I live my faith

You show your faith in every action every day. When I swallow my pride and say I'm sorry to my husband, I live my faith. When I take a minute to collect myself and not yell at my children, I live my faith. When I offer assistance to my neighbor, I live my faith. When I don't forget to say my morning prayers, I am living my faith. I live my faith by trying to become like the Savior in all I do and say.
