Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a Mormon. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother

About Me

I was born in a small town in Northern Utah. After graduating from high school I attended business college. 53 years ago my sweetheart and I were married in the Logan temple. We are the parents of 6 children, the grandparents of 21 and great-grandparents of 9. I love to travel and have had the privilege of visiting many countries as well as traveling all over the United States. To celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary we went with our children and grandchildren on a cruise just before 4 of our grandchildren left on missions. What a treat! I also love playing games and just being with family members. A great outing is a trip to the park with our grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, but everyone has to gain their own testimony. I have known since I was a little girl that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church on the earth today. Some of my forefathers knew Joseph Smith and testified of him. They crossed the plains so they could have religious freedom in Utah. Many of our ancestors gave their lives for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the Book of Mormon and know Joseph Smith was a prophet. No one with his education could have translated such a book without the help of the Lord. I have had many spiritual experiences which help me know that I have made the right choice in embracing the teachings of the church.

How I live my faith

I have had many church callings during my life in which I was able to serve others. I have been a teacher and leader of youth, adults and young adults. My husband and I went on a CES mission to Halifax, Canada for 18 months to help the young people of Canada find their way. We also completed a home mission at the institute where we again worked with the young adults. I am now working with the young adults in a small branch as well as teaching a class at church to the sisters once a month. I attend classes where I learn how to become more like the Savior and I try to live as He would have me live.
