Hi I'm Pam

I'm a student, a sister, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student who is going to school for paramedic medicine. I love science and learning. Music has always been a huge part of my life, both in listening and performance, and is what I would probably consider my biggest hobby. I played the trombone for a local trombone chior for several years before going on a mission. In addition to music, I love being active, imparticular running and rock climbing. I enjoy doing arts and crafts with my sisters and nieces, although there is no craft that I am particularly good at, I appreciate the time it sets aside that I am able to spend with my family as we create together, not only whatever craft we are working on, but all the good memories that accompany that.

Why I am a Mormon

Its hard to sum up exactly why I decided to become a Mormon. In its most simple form it is because this church offers teachings and truths that touch my soul. In a world with conflicting voices that beat you down, the true teachings of Christ can lift you up, not only to what you were, but to something better, to what you want to be. The Holy Spirit of God has testified to my spirit that I am literally a daughter of God, and this knowledge has spoken peace to my soul on many occasions. Like any child I am homesick because I have been seperated from my Father for a long time. I can feel it. I want to be able to return home to my Father, and this Gospel is the way I can do that.

How I live my faith

In general I have found that the best way to live my faith is through all the little things that make up who I am, a small act of service, being a little more patient, trying not to be angry or judgemental etc... There are so many small and simple things that we can do everyday to help those around us and it is in those small things that we can demonstrate what we believe.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

First and foremost we believe that God is our loving Heavenly Father. God is literally the father of our spirits, and we are created in His image. He has a body of flesh and bone that is perfected and glorified. Like every loving father, He wants what is best for us,Also like any loving father, He is not going to leave us here just to figure it out on our own what we need to do, He is guiding us. His love for us is infinite, He has given us absolutely everything that we need to know and do in order to be able to return and live with Him someday. Show more Show less
