Hi I'm Jim

I'm a husband, a father, a professional pilot and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the lucky husband of my wife, father of three wonderful children and grand father of 3 beautiful grand children. I love my job flying small cargo planes which allows me to be home with my family every night and off every Sunday - some say it's one of aviation's best kept secrets. I truly feel blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was raised from birth in a good Mormon home, my conversion to the Gospel didn’t really begin until I decided to serve as a missionary at age 20 - a year later than most young men in the church are prepared to put their lives on hold and serve the Lord full-time for 2 years. That decision changed my life. I finally began a serious study of the scriptures which was immediately accompanied by an outpouring of the Spirit that I had never felt before. I knew then, the Lord was real, that he knew me and loved me - and he confirmed that to me time and again during my mission and ever since. The things I had been taught all my life were finally sinking in. They were true - undeniably true! It brought peace and joy, direction and comfort - and as I helped others discover these truths for themselves, my own conversion continued to deepen. Years, even decades have passed now and my conversion and understanding continues to expand. What was once mere belief is now a sure knowledge. I know the Lord and the power of his love through the teachings of His church. That’s why I have been, and always will be, a member of it. I can say, without reservation, that every good thing in my life is a direct result of learning and living the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is where I have found the strength and comfort to make it through the rough times - experiencing "that peace which passeth all understanding" even in the midst of affliction. How I love the Savior and His Gospel!

How I live my faith

I try to be a friend and help people smile when they don't think they have a reason to. We have "family night" every Monday night where we spend the evening together as a family and share a message from the scriptures, plan our week, do a fun activity and have a treat. We strive to pray together each night and morning and study scriptures each day. While it doesn't always work out that way, the best days are always when it does.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jim
The Gospel teaches us that families indeed can be together forever - that spouses and children can be sealed together and enjoy the loving family relationships they developed on earth throughout eternity. What a beautiful thing that is. Show more Show less
