Hi I'm Tyler

Hello I am from Idaho!

About Me

I am a missionary currently serving in the Nevada I started my mission back in 2009 and I become a RM at the end of 2011! This mission has completly changed my life! I see the world so differently now, in good ways and in bad ways. I come from a family of 6. I am the youngest. I plan on attending college after my mission to study journalism/ broadcasting, and eventually transfering to the East Coast. Some of the enjoyments in life is that I love to go snow skiing! I am a big fan of the snow, so I spend a majority of my time in the mountains. During the summer I enjoy doing marathons and Triathlons. I think that it is fun because it gets your mind in a good, uplifting place.

Why I am a Mormon

This is a unique question that can have so many different answers. Personally, I am LDS due to the solid foundation that this religion creates in my life. This life has so much more purpose to it. I know why I am here, I know that I will be able to live with my family enternaly. The way I choose to live my life is due to the knowledge that I have. I enjoy being that person where everyone knows what I stand for and who I am. Through my life I have gained so much respect for the decisions that I make, and for the morals that I have. My life wouldn't be the same if I weren't LDS!

How I live my faith

I live my faith with strength, and integrity. Especially as an missionary integrity is crucial. Without having integrity and strength of heart, our religion won't mean much to those looking in! Everyday people look at us, just waiting to see if we will do something wrong, looking for the slightest flaw in our behavior. If we live what we know those people will not be able to see those flaws. I live my faith by having good friends around me that encourage me to always make the correct choice. My family and always having them in my mind at all times, so that I can remember those things that they taught me. Being a good example to my 6 fun nephews and nieces. Knowing that they are looking up to me, learning from me, helps greatly in the way I live my life.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

I thought that this question would be fitting. the answer is no, no we are not. Though the prophet of the Lord strongly encourages all 19 year old males and 21 year old Females to serve. The experiance you gain, the lessons we learn are beyond words. I have seen so much growth in my life due to my choice to serve. The gospel becomes more real, more meaningful in our life.
