Hi I'm Terry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 48 years old and am the father of 4 boys who are now adults, three of which are recently married. I met my wife while serving in the Navy for 10 years. I retired from the Air force reserve 8 years ago. I have had several jobs over the years including aircraft mechanic, welder & fabricator and I now work for an Aerospace company as a CAD designer. I have many hobbies/interests that I enjoy. Most outdoor activities: Hunting, Fishing, camping etc.. I also love to read. Scifi, fantasy, fiction and books about things like ancient civilizations and of course the scriptures.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined this church a little over 25 years ago after hearing the Elders talk about the Book of Mormon and how it was a record of Gods dealings with the people that lived anciently on this continent. I was fascinated because I never really believed that all the Indians were descended from migrants coming across a land bridge in the Bering sea as we were taught in school. I was so curious that I took three lessons all at once. It was shortly after that when I began to realize this is truth restored. I have never regretted that decision and my conviction has only deepened over the years.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday with my wife. In the past I have taught classes for the young men between the ages of 12 and 17. I have also been a scout master and involved in scouting for many years. My wife and I make it a point to try and help others as often as possible. We also participate in scripture study activities and attend the Temple as often as we can. Right now we are responsible for helping folks in our congregation be prepared for emergency situations or job loss.
