Hi I'm Brian

I'm a normal person, I love life. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm 20 years old, And I grew up as a catholic in colorado, but now live in Utah. I'm the oldest of two, and love playing hockey, lacrosse, and snowboarding. I'm now serving a mission in Italy and am loving every moment of it. I'm a normal guy, I like to have fun with my friends, and I love my family. And I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's the smart thing to do. I used to not care very much about religion, even tho I was raised a Catholic. But once I had found the missionaries my entire life changed. All of the answers to any questions I ever had about life or God or anything of the sort, were answered. I'm found a part of me that i had been missing my whole life. Thanks to the book of Mormon, and the great power of prayer, I know today why I'm here. I know what I need to do to have an eternity of complete happiness. And I know that I can be with my family forever. I was baptized when I was 18 years old, and I had a lot of problems and temptaions to leave the church afterwards. But I knew the witness that came to me about the church could not have come from anywhere else than from God, and the choices I made because of that led me to the happiest parts of my life. And I'm forever greatful for it. My testimony isn't strong because I had friends that told me the church is true, or because I studied about all the different religions of the world and liked this one best. But because I found out for myself, that this is the church of Jesus Christ. The simple prayers I gave to Heavenly Father About the church, about the book of Mormon, about Jospeh Smith, changed my life forever, as will they continue to change it. I'm complete because I'm a Mormon. It's that simple :)

How I live my faith

I'm currently a Missionary for the church in Milan, Italy. I live my faith by sharing it with those who accept it. I live my faith by helping others, whether it be something of a physical need, or a spiritual. I live it by showing the example of Christ to others, or at least I try! I talk to people old and young, from various parts of the world, hoping that I can help them the ways that i personally have been helped!

What is faith?

Brian
Faith in my conversion to the church has been a huge factor. Faith is a hope, its not a knowledge of something. You don't need to see something, to know it exists. In my case, it was receiving a testimony of the church. I read and i prayed about the Book of Mormon, but I didn't receive an answer for a while. I realized it was because the answer I was looking for was not how God gives it to us. I was expecting something huge to happen, something like seeing an angel that tells me its true and that I better follow it. But i realized that that isn't faith. I needed faith in God that he would give me the answers in His time and in His ways, and that he would give it to me in the way that I needed. Faith is a hope for things to come. A Hope in things we can't see, but which are there. Show more Show less
