Hi I'm Jason

I'm an actor, I'm kinda crazy, I wish i could grow a mustache, I'm a child of god, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well gooday! I grew up in arizona, lived there till I was 18. Then I moved to california, where I continued to pursue acting and haveing fun. I was a slacker so I did not go to college... (yet). I worked all kinds of construction and was just trying to find myself, I suppose... I was not active in the church for my teenage years, for some reason I could not see the importance. looking back I can see all the times the Lord was reaching out to me, but I failed to reach back. I had a sister and some friends, I had made in California. They were great to me and loved me. I saw how happy they were all the time and I wanted that! Thats something I had always wanted, true hapyness! But was searching in all the wrong places for it... those friends and my sister helped me find what I was missing, and that was Jesus Christ and his true gospel! I thought to my self, "if im going to do this, im going to do it right", so I dove right in. I felt the spirit and found that true happiness!!! I love it now, I love the Church or Jesus Christ, I love all types of music (except country), I love to longboard, mountain bike, go dancing, make movies, write, cook, karaokee, wear costumes, make people laugh, ski, do anything epic, legitiment, or gnarly! and much more... currently I'm on a mission in Pocatello, Idaho... and I love it here! I love the truth of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ! I love sharing the happiness I have found with others and giving them a chance to taste it. The lord is great. I love being a mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

Because its Jesus Christ's church! hence the name "The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints" go ahead ask God if it is, I'll wait... seriously, he will answer you, I promise you! He has done the same for me. I wanted to know, if this was the correct path for me, (see: "about me") seeing how I was changing my life around completely. I am not the best at reading, so I downloaded the Book of Mormon from the lds.org website, I listened to it on on my mp3 player. I knew the whole time I listened, it was teaching truth, it felt right and good. So I with an open mind prayed and asked God if the book was true. Also, if it's His church... and I know through the Holy Ghost, it's true, it's real, it's the "one" (Ephesians 4:5).

How I live my faith

Sharing the truth with others and showing the way, by example. Faith leads to action, we must continue to grow and strengthen our faith in Christ by my works (prayer, study scriptures, attend church, keep commandments, exc.) No one is perfect but we can try to be. By following Christ. Thats what I do, I try to follow the Savior.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

oh, maybe that Jesus Christ himself is leading HIS church... Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Jason
We know that "...it is by grace we are saved after all we can do" (2 Nephi 25:23). Now, we know that Paul the apostle wrote, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourself: it is the gift of god: Not of works, lest any man shall boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9). This means that we are saved only by our faith in Jesus Christ. It is a gift to those wo believe in Him, repent and try to follow Him. Paul also said "WHAT shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid..." (Romans 6:1-2). So, we know that we cannot just accept Jesus and then, run around sinning and not showing your faith. We know that works must precede our faith, "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea , a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works" (James 2:17-18). Faith is a verb which leads to action. That action should be always trying to follow Christ's example and commandments. We are all sinners, who fall short of perfection, so that's why Christ has given us His grace to save us, after all we can do. Show more Show less
