Hi I'm Preston

I'm a scholar, I'm a writer, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love swimming, mountain biking, and reading. I spend time with my friends whenever I can. But after all, it comes down to Christ, and my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't grow up believing in Christ. I started talking to the missionaries when 12, and I realized that God loves me, and that He sent His Son to make a way home for me. At first I wondered how to know which Christian faith was right, then I came to understand the principle of the Apostasy. To this day, I still study religious history, and it's fascinating to know that after everything, God's authority has been restored to man through a living prophet.

How I live my faith

I enjoy studying and learning about the gospel. I love the scriptures, knowing that the Great Architect of the Universe truly speaks to His children.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Preston
The Holy Bible is made up of the accepted prophecies, testimonies, and commandments given to man through God's prophets in the Middle East, compiled and edited by a council of men. The Book of Mormon is made up of all the prophecies, testimonies, and commandments given to man through God's prophets in the ancient Americas, compiled and edited by a prophet of God. Joseph Smith was given the record of those prophets to translate into English, so that we can read and be strengthened by their testimonies of Christ. Show more Show less
