Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love drinking milk, Reading, Listening to oldies music, Baking cakes and breads, Snacking on apples and peanut butter, Laughing with my family, Smelling wet sidewalks, Exploring antique shops, Putting together puzzles, Eating any kind of M&M's, Developing pictures, Eating chips and salsa, Collecting vintage dresses, Buying things on sale, and Unwrapping new C.D.'s.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I realize my dependence on Jesus Christ. I have a loving relationship with God because I know that He knows me and cares about the choices that I make. I know that I will someday be accountable for the time that I spent on earth. When I meet God I want to know that I used the tools that He gave me to live in His presence eternally.

How I live my faith

At this time in my life I live my faith by working every day to be obedient to the commandments, loving my family, and trying to increase my knowledge about the Gospel. I serve God by trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ in serving those around me as a wife, mother, friend, and family member. I work at overcoming my imperfections through applying the Atonement of Jesus Christ in my life. When I make mistakes I know that I can use the process of repentance to ask God for forgiveness.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jenny
You can known Mormonism is true through exercising faith or a belief in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. The events of the Atonement include Christ literally taking on the suffering of all mankind, allowing Himself to be crucified, and rising from death as a resurrected being. The reason Christ went through those events was to make it possible for us to be forgiven of our sins and be able to communicate with God. If we truly believe that Christ died for us to bridge the gap between us and God then we know prayer is real and possible. For us to know that Mormonism is true we pray and ask God, who knows all things, whether or not the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the answers and truths it claims to have. If we believe that we will get an answer and have the faith in our hearts to act on that answer when given, then God will bless us with that knowledge.  Show more Show less
