Hi I'm Josh

and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! Well as you can see my name is Josh. I'm from a small town in Southeast Idaho. I'm starting college here pretty soon. I'm working on becoming a Physical Therapist eventually someday. I recently returned home from serving as a missionary not too long ago for the Houston, Texas area and I loved it and I loved serving the people of that area. I am a pretty normal guy I love spending time with my family and friends. I have an amazing family they are a huge blessing and bring me a lot of happiness. As for hobbies I love exercising, going on dates, Ultimate Frisbee, boating, and snowboarding when I get a chance. I am pretty obsessed with listening to music! I am currently working on teaching myself how to play the Ukulele. I am also taking a guitar class in college! I love this Church it has done wonderful things for my life. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because the Holy Ghost has given me a witness that The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints is the true church. There really isn't any way I could deny that either. I just remember being a young kid and people telling me this was true and I was just kinda neutral to it all. I grew up in the church but I had to gain a testimony for myself. That is the most awesome thing about this church. No one can make you believe the only way you can find out is by asking God for yourself! But I prayed and I asked God and I know that it is the true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my example to others, helping them when I can, going to church every Sunday, and doing my duties within the church.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, we do not worship Joseph Smith. We only worpship our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was simply just the prophet to "restore" or bring back Jesus Christ true church to the earth. He did a good thing but I can't be saved through Joseph Smith. I can only be saved through my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am still grateful though that Joseph Smith lived how he was supposed to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

I know I couldn’t make it back to my Heavenly Father without grace. We believe as most other religions do that grace works according to our faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. Although we also believe that one of the ways we show our faith is by our works in this life. In the book of James 2 17-18 in the Holy Bible it says “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee faith by my works.” But in the end we still have to rely on grace to save us because our works can only take us so far. I’ve always looked at faith as more of an action work then just something you have. Works "perfect" our faith as the book of James says. But when our Savior Jesus Christ see’s this offering of our faith and our other actions in life he will make up for the rest. There won’t be any question about how faithful you were if you always gave it your all is how I look at it. Show more Show less
