Hi I'm Breanne

I live in Vermont. I'm a mother of two boys. I know how to play the steel drums. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors, music, art and my family. My husband and I enjoy hiking, camping, canoeing- anything outside! And we live in the perfect place for all of those hobbies- Vermont. I also love music- I play percussion and piano. I own a marimba and also am involved in a steel drum band. I like to paint and draw. My favorite mediums to work with are acrylics and colored pencils. But above all of those hobbies, I love my family! I have a wonderful husband and two adorable little boys. We have a sign hanging on the wall in our living room that says, "Together is our Favorite Place to Be" and it's true!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! I am a Mormon because I love my family. We believe that we can be together with our families forever- even after death. My husband and my children mean everything to me and our faith is so family-centered. I have learned ways to be a better mommy and a kinder wife. We have such a happy family and I owe all of our family happiness to being a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ. I know that he lived on this earth and that he was crucified. I know that he suffered for my sins and through his grace I can be saved and live with God again.

How I live my faith

There are a few obvious parts of my life that are there simply because I am Mormon. One is the code of health I follow. I try to keep my life free of addictive substances like alcohol and coffee. I feel so empowered knowing that I am not dependent on those things in order to function. Another is that I pay tithing. My husband and I give ten percent of our income to the church- and I know that sounds like a lot! But I also know that the Lord "opens the windows of heaven" and gives us many many blessings because of it. I also observe the Sabbath Day. On Sundays I do not shop and I avoid doing any unnecessary work. I try to focus on spiritual things like reading the scriptures and pondering about Jesus Christ. The biggest way that I want to live my faith is by trying to be like Jesus Christ. I do that by loving other people. By loving others, then the world will know that I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.
