Hi I'm Nathan Booth

While I am studying to become an engineer, I also love most sports, music, movies, games, etc. I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in the western United States. I love spending time with my family and friends. It doesn't really matter what we are doing, or who is winning or whatever, as long as we're having fun. I really love stories. It is awesome when a movie, book, video game or song can cause me to forget my surroundings and take me to a new place I've never been and make me care for people I've never met. I love soccer, hiking, ultimate Frisbee, and taking pictures of everything around me. I also really love music. It really is the universal language. I've played the violin for most of my life and it doesn't matter whether I'm just fiddling around, or performing with a large symphony, I love how music communicates with the soul. Currently I am in college, majoring in Civil Engineering. So far, life is good, and I'm willing to bet it will only get better!

Why I am a Mormon

1. I have a true feeling every time I read the scriptures and pray about them. It can be a feeling of peace and comfort, or most frequently, clarity. 2. There is a perfect plan laid out for us that includes our existence before, during and after this life on earth. If we will follow the guidelines God has provided, we will return to live with him and our families again! 3. I have had my doubt, but I have watched as my studies, prayer, and the knowledge of others have disproved or given understanding to everything I've heard against it. I have learned to not let the things I'm not yet sure about come between me and what I already have a testimony and a knowledge of. 4. I am Mormon because all of the questions that go unanswered in so much of the world today, are marvelously answered by the restoration of the gospel. 5. I love that we are encourage to pray for knowledge, not to take anyone's word for it. 6. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ is extremely simple. Yet, the amount one can learn about it is endless. 7. Most importantly, I have personally sinned and I have prayed for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to apply in my life so that I could be forgiven of my sins. Through a process of repentance, I have been forgiven and felt the redeeming love of the Son of God. I know that Jesus Christ is our undeniable Savior. Without that, I would be nothing. I know that I fall short each day, but if I continue to repent, then I will continually improve. Soon, all will be made right!

How I live my faith

Recently I served a 2-year mission. I spent each day studying the gospel and helping others improve their lives by coming unto Christ. It was an incredible experience and I learned so much. On or off a mission, I try to see everyone as they really are: children of God. We are all here on earth with the same goal in mind. We all want to become better! Each person has their own struggles in life. And some seem much worse than others. Yet happiness can be, and is found in the most unexpected places. I believe that happiness is entirely up to me. God has given us instructions. If we follow them, everything will work out in the end. I know this because I have experienced it and I've seen it in the the lives of countless others. I also believe that the only reason we sometimes doubt God is because we fail to remember the times when he has helped us. Everyday, I try to keep the most spiritual moments of my life in mind, so that I can get through anything life throws at me. I live my faith by remembering the good, by choosing to be happy now, and by hoping for an even brighter future. The only way that it is possible for me to do those things is through God, Jesus Christ and the loving gospel that they have taught.
