Hi I'm Tami

I lived in Madagascar. I'm a future novelist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom! I have four kids and an inkling for one more. I'm lucky in love with a husband who doesn't object to filling up our house with fledglings. I've managed a satisfactory design career on my mediocre artistic talents, but my true passion is the pen. Deep down in my bones I know I am a writer, though I've published nothing to prove it! My college degree armed me with a little know-how in language and literature, and my full-time mission to Madagascar left me with a lot of life experience and a little bit of broken French.

Why I am a Mormon

I am happiest when I live the principles I've been taught in the Mormon church. I feel close to God and that gives me a sense of peace and protection. I can't stop bad things from happening in the world, or in my life, but I can feel calm amidst the turmoil. I know that my family is safest on the coat-tails of Jesus Christ. I believe that if I follow Him, my children will too, and that's their best chance for being happy - in this life, and the next. I know that the Mormon church is Jesus Christ's true church. Not just because of its miraculous beginnings, or it's miraculous global growth, but because of the miracle it works in ordinary people. I believe it is God's design that we finish this life having become someone better than we started out to be. I can feel Him and His church making that change in me.

How I live my faith

I am the secretary for the women's organization in my ward. I help plan and organize activities and service projects. I also help to keep records and track growth. My favorite roll within the church is as a visiting teacher. I am close friends with the women in the community that I am assigned to, and I enjoy serving and socializing with them.
