Hi I'm Micah

I am a police officer, I run in triathlons, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm an active person. I enjoy sports and camping. I have currently returned to school to pursue a better career. I am a young single adult president, priesthood teacher, and home teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have studied the pattern in which Jesus Christ formed and conducted his church when he walked upon the Earth. I have found that the "Mormon" church contains all of the positions and descriptions mentioned in the New Testament, including a Prophet. The Book of Mormon also contains the word of Christ transcribed through the hands of His Prophets upon the American continents. Joseph Smith translated, by assignment from Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon for us to use hand in hand with the Bible in the fullness of times.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I am the leader of our local young singles adult program. This requires that I teach lessons occasionally and keep the singles up to speed on up coming activities. I also serve in the responsibility of a teacher in the priesthood class, a class of adult men regarding how to be a better father, husband, and child of God. My third calling is that of a home teacher. I am assigned three lovely families that I am responsible for visiting monthly. At these visits I share a church message and check on the well being of the family. When needed or requested, arrangements are made to help fulfill their temporal needs and spiritual progression.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The Law of Chastity is a commandment regarding sexual purity. The Law of Chastity was given as a method of protecting single persons from grievous moral sins that have become accepted by the world as socially acceptable. These intimate actions belong only in the sanctity of marriage. The law encourages us to abstain from any immoral and premarital sexual conduct and abstain from any vulgar and pornographic material. Group dates are highly encouraged. Movies above the PG-13 rating should also be avoided. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe happens after we die?

All that die pass to what is referred to as a spirit world. There we await our own resurrection. As this spirit world contains all who have died and not yet resurrected, including those that have never heard of Jesus Christ, we believe that knowledgeable spirits familiar with Christ and His Atonement will instruct and teach spirits wanting to learn of our Savior.
