Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in New Jersey, later lived in Florida, then Canada's Yukon Territory, and now Ontario

About Me

I'm a business process analyst, author, and activist. I enjoy hiking, skiing, bicycling, reading and oil painting. I have one child, a son who is currently on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in a highly religious family, I never believed anything I was taught, except the existence of God. I attended church weekly in my previous religion until I finished high school, and then stopped, not seeing any need for organized religion. In my mid-twenties, I felt a void in my life and thought religion might help. I returned a few times to the religion I was raised in, and then decided to try other Christian religions, and then look into eastern religions. My first stop was at a local LDS Church. The missionaries taught me the basics of the Gospel; I began to understand the role of the Savior, and of the Holy Ghost, whose presence I felt strongly during the discussions. About six weeks after I first attended the LDS Church, I was baptized. I know the Gospel is true. In the many years (over 30) since my baptism, I have continued to learn and grow in the Gospel. It has not always been easy, but is definitely worth it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to keep the commandments magnifying my calling doing my home teaching, and looking for opportunities to serve and share the Gospel. Do I do any of these things perfectly? Hardly! But I continually strive, and slowly progress.
