Hi I'm Leola

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a non Mormon for 52 years, I have 5 children, although my oldest Son died in August 2009 from lung cancer, I have 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. I have been blessed with a new little great grandson, born this month, we now have 2 great grandsons and 8 great granddaughters. They are truly precious gifts from a kind Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I met a Mormon who was teaching school in my home town, she told me about the church and I was taught by the Stake missionary who taught her and I was baptised because I knew it was true from the first time I heard the Joseph Smith story, he taught us that the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion" and that a man or woman will "get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book"

How I live my faith

I have been Relief society president for 9 years and I love visiting teaching and the sisters I visit, my testimony has not always been as strong as it is today however, but I am trying each day to keep the commandments and go to the Temple as often as I can. I know that the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on the earth, that God our Heavenly Father loves each of us and knows us by name and that Jesus Christ lives and is His only begotten Son.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Our church if very family oriented and we have the word of wisdom and try to keep it. We go to the temple often and do work for those who have died without a knowledge of the Savior, we do work for them vicariously and pray that they will accept, although we believe in free agency and so they have the option to accept or reject it just as if they were here on the earth Show more Show less
