Hi I'm Marc

I'm a Firefighter/Paramedic and I'm a Mormon. My faith in Jesus Christ has helped me to overcome many adversities.

About Me

I am very blessed by the many family members and friends that surround me. Not a day goes by that I do not count my blessings and thank the Lord for them. I am a devoted husband and father. My family is one of my biggest blessings. I have been a Firefighter for 12 years and a Paramedic for 15. In my profession I get to witness the best and worst of humankind, happiness and sadness. I have witnessed the joy that comes from a new life being brought into this world and the sadness that accompanies the loss of a loved one. If it were not for the faith and love of those around me it would be very difficult to cope with the many struggles that I encounter. I am very fun loving and a little bit of a prankster. My motto is " If you can't have fun doing it, don't do it!"

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was introduced to the LDS church when she was in college and my father when he was in the Marines. I am a second generation Mormon and have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I am second oldest of ten children and family means the world to me. I find joy in the knowledge that families are forever and that it can be an eternal unit. Even though I was born into the church, I have had to gain my own testimony and find out for myself that the things that are taught are true. My parents did their best to instill correct values and principals while I was young and at the same time give me enough space to learn and grow on my own. Our Heavenly Father knows and loves each and every one of us. He loves us so much that he sent his Son, Jesus Christ to overcome some of the hurdles that impede us from returning to his presence. A marvel at the atoning sacrifice that our Lord made for us when he was crucified and die for us and the miracle of the ressurection when he overcame death. The suffering that he went through in the Garden of Gethsemane to overcome our sins. Our God is a living and loving God.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by living a life of service to my fellow man. I had the opportunity to be a Missionary for two years in Chile. While I was there, I gained a great love for the Chilean people. During those 2 years, I was able to learn and grow. To walk in Jesus footsteps, live as he did. It was a true joy to witness the change that living the gospel makes in peoples lives. The knowledge that I have of eternal families has helped to comfort those that mourn the loss of their loved ones. I try to live a life of service and love my fellow man/woman for who they are, children of God. I see no color, race, religion, belief or creed. We are all individuals and have something to offer and I feel that I can learn something from everyone.
