Hi I'm Sharon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 63 yrs old and live in Kentucky. I am a wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 6 childen who spoil me, and contribute to my happiness. I have been married for 10 years. I have a few hobbies.... reading, sewing, gardening and manage to play golf when the weather permits. My husband and I love to travel. We have a 5th-wheel camper and quite often will "pack up" and head out for an extended camping trip. We love hiking and visiting places that are new to us.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, there was no turning back. I had been searching for the right church for sometime. When I heard the story of a 14 year old boy asking God for clarity of which church to join, I placed myself in that same category. I knew that if he could find the answer that I, too, could find out for myself. I did.

How I live my faith

I must admit that having FAITH is not always easy......Faith is believing in something that you cannot touch, see, hear and most of the time cannot prove. But, I pray to my Father in Heaven to help me, and he does. I try everyday to communicate with Him through prayer, scriptures and service. I love serving others. Service is a huge part of our faith.... Jesus Christ served others his entire life and has asked us to do the same. I try to repay Him through service in my church callings to the women and families in our branch. We gather together to strengthen one another through worship. We gather together to socialize and have fun. We gather together to serve. It is truly wonderful to be a part of this Church and to have my FAITH strengthened because of the FAITH and testimony of my fellow members.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Our lifestyle is not difficult. Actually, it is pretty easy. There is no guessing.....should I drink? smoke? use bad language? If I stay in harmony with the principles that are taught, I am healthy and happy. We, as Mormons, are guided by our values and realize that the choices we make in life may, or may not, bring joy into life. We also have a great deal of fun in our lives! My family is a central part of my life. We have God's plan. We are not perfect but as we strive to keep commandments each day we can have hope that we will one day live with Him again. We try to spread the joy we have by serving others, sharing the Gospel and contributing to wothwhile efforts in our community. Show more Show less
