Hi I'm Desmond Carlisle

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married.Sealed for time and eternity to my wife.I love to hear music, watch T.V and meet new people.I am self employed/employed.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in 1993.The missionaries found me.I prayed to know the truthfulness about the church.I got a testimony and was baptised into The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Saints.I am so grateful to those young men who came to my home to teach me about the truth and restored church.I am grateful to the Prophet Joseph Smith for all his work and faithfulness.I am grateful for a living Prophet and Apostles that guide us and teach us today.I am most of all grateful for the priceless atonement of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.I know He lives and loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by holding onto the (iron rod) the scriptures.Praying daily.Going for Sunday services and trying my best to live the high standards of the church.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Desmond Carlisle
A testimony is a spiritual witness given to an individual by the Holy Ghost. The foundation of a Mormon’s testimony is the knowledge that Heavenly Father lives and loves us; that Jesus Christ lives, that He is the Son of God, and that He carried out the infinite Atonement; that Joseph Smith is a prophet, which God called to restore Jesus Christ’s church to the earth; that we are led today by a living prophet; and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior’s Church restored on the earth today.
