Hi I'm Darryl Cody

I'm a brother, a son, a wrestler, an international construction worker, a servant of the Lord, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary in the California, Riverside Mission. I am 20 years old. I spent the majority of my life doing what normal teenagers do except for the fact that my father's construction job took us all over the world so I have been privileged to travel a lot and when I get off my mission I will continue working with that same company and continue to travel and use that as my means to get through college. I have six sisters and two awesome parents whom I love to death I enjoy anything outdoor and sports of any kind Wrestling is my favorite. I love being active and doing things that are tough. The greatest joy I have ever found in my life as a missionary was watching someone change their life for the good. That is why I chose to be a missionary. It is such a blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I have found spiritual guidance and answers to questions as a member that I have never found anywhere else in the world. Even if the church isn't true but I know it is there is great joy in the lifestyle and in the way that I have chosen to live. I don’t think I know what is like to be truly miserable, so why would I not be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example Jesus Christ set, by trying to help other people. Christ's gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is about helping others in their hour of need. If we have faith in Christ and believe in him we will not only try to be the best we can be, but will want to follow his example in doing good to all men. "Wherefore we must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ having a perfect brightness of hope and a love of God and of all men." 2 NE 31 20 I try to press forward with love and with a smile on my face doing the best I can to please my Father in Heaven because I love him.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Darryl Cody
To be happy. True happiness comes from keeping the commandments of God because there is a feeling of surety that comes with it.  "...men are that they might have joy." 2 Nephi 2 25    Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Darryl Cody
Most of it is out of our own pocket I had to work and save up the money that was needed for me to come, which I gladly did and the small fraction that does not come out of the missionaries' pocket come from individuals who felt the need to help and donate.   Show more Show less
