Hi I'm Karli

I'm a marine biologist, a photographer, SCUBA diver, snowboarder, wife, mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom who joined the church in 2008. I enjoy music, the outdoors, traveling and spending time with those I love. During college I studied marine biology so that I could one day help preserve our oceans so that the next generations can enjoy them as much as I have. I am a Marine wife and a mother of one beautiful baby girl. I am also the only member in my family which can be challenging at times but I love my family, I love my cats, and I love my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my friend chose to share the most important thing in his life with me. I had been searching for a place and church where I belonged for several years. He was just starting to regularly go to church again and one day he asked if I would go with him. Since I did not feel like I fit in at my old church it was nice to have someone go with me. For a while, there was a burning inside me to return to church and I was excited to be going. Since I was little, I had always knew having a relationship with my Savior was important but it had become difficult through high school. When I went to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with him I began to feel more at home. I was able to meet with the missionaries and I knew pretty quickly that this was the church that I had been searching for. This was the first place I had finally felt HOME. Being the only member in my family it was a tough decision to join the church without the blessing from my family. With life comes many trials but knowing that the Lord is with me always brings comfort to my soul. I am still the only member in my family today but since joining I have had many people in my family see my change in demeanor and know that I am happy. My biggest hope now is that I can share with them the knowledge that I know to be true. That one day we can all share in this joy together because Families are Forever. I am grateful for my membership in this church, for my husband, my daughter, and for my eternal family. I know now that no matter what happens we will always be together. I am grateful for the restoration of the church, and that we may once again have divine guidance through a prophet. As long as I follow the words of Christ and the prophet that I will return to live with my Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday mainly by service to those around me in the community. It is also very important to me to live life with a smile and to be very grateful for all that we do have, by praying and giving thanks daily.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are in fact Christians. This is shown not only in the name of our church, The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but also through the first article of faith in which we live by. We believe in God the Eternal Father and in his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. The true meaning of being christian is to be a follower of Christ. As Christians, Mormons strive to be more like Christ daily. Show more Show less
