Hi I'm Whitney

I'm a busy mom, I'm a devoted wife, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town, served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and every good thing that has happened to me has stemmed from that decision to serve a mission. I married the man of my dreams nine months after returning from my mission. We have been married for a little over four years, and we have three beautiful children. Seeing our children grow and develop has been a joy in our lives. Every moment is precious. Even when they are fussy, I still feel an immense love for them. I think that's the same way our Father in Heaven feels for each of us. Sometimes we can be stubborn and we aren't willing to listen, but He still loves us and wants us to achieve great things.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but there came a point in my life where I couldn't just rely on the testimony of my parents. I had to know for myself. I decided I would read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. I started out reading with a critical eye, trying to find things that were wrong with it. But the more I read, the more the Spirit of the Lord was able to testify of its truth. I prayed about it, and this overwhelming feeling of peace entered my heart, and I couldn't deny its truth. Knowing that the Book of Mormon is true helps me to know that everything else is true. The Book of Mormon has truly changed my life. It's more than a good story; it's a handbook for life.

How I live my faith

I assist others in helping them find their ancestors and complete their geneology. There is a great feeling that comes when you learn something about one of your ancestors. You become connected to them. Helping others find that connection is very rewarding.
