Hi I'm Bill.

I'm a Mormon. i have been one my whole life at least since i was 8 years old when i was baptized.

About Me

I am a 59 year old husband of Ann and we are parents of 7 children. A large family by today's standards (or any standard, for that matter!)

Why I am a Mormon

i was born to a mom and dad who were devout Mormons - members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Both of my parents, in turn, were born to parents (my grandparents on both sides) who themselves were devout Mormons. Likewise, my grandparents (all 4 sets) were born to devout Mormon parents. So,one might assume that this religion is all I know - all that I have been exposed to for generation after generation, and that, therefore, that is my I am a Mormon. However, that is not the case - I am a Mormon because, like my parents, grandparents and greatgrandparents, the Spirit of this religion has touched my heart and my mind and whispered that it is a true religion. And i have sought that witness out through study and prayer and had it confirmed to me by the Spirit of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day by trying to be a humble follower of Jesus Christ. Every day I try to be a little kinder, a little more patient, a little more honest. I try to serve others in my church and in the community. I am very active in the Boy Scouts of America.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Bill.
We believe in our Church that all men and women everywhere are literal sons and daughters of a loving Father in Heaven. Persons of any race, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation are welcome in the Church and can be members. However, our Father in Heaven ordained the family as the central unit for us to return to His presence, that marriage between a man and a woman is the foundation of that family unit, and that sexual relations should be maintained only between a husband and wife legally and lawfully married to one another.
