Hi I'm Janet

I'm a Mormon.I was born and raised on the West Coast in San Diego. I spent the next 11years searching for a place to call home.

About Me

I am a second generation Mormon from California with a past and present greatly influenced by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With my childhood and youth centered around my family and much structure from my activity in the Church, I feel the Lord was definitely preparing me for a life of serving and learning the value of serving well and sacrifice. We were guided here to the South in 1989 and with my non member husband and 5 children,we sadly left behind our loved ones to begin a new life here with all the complications of settling into a new culture and getting established. My best foot forward was becoming well rooted in the Church down here which had been built on the backs of a few humble, devoted members and grown into a Branch. I as so lovingly accepted in. I was a stay home mom as yet and able to get our youngest Angel Son, Eric, inducted into all medical and professional services here to facilitate his needs. Eric has always been the center of our home and hearts. We enjoy living the good country life and our 5 kids learned many practical skills while enjoying the freedom of country life and having animals and gardens and all the chores farm life entails. we enjoyed camping and fishing and riding horses. Fast forward to now, we still enjoy the same things. Eric is still the heart of my existence and I feel so blessed to be the ministering Angel the Lord has chosen to take care of His Noble Spirits. My current husband is my Eternal Companion!! I am so Blessed!!

Why I am a Mormon

Other than the advantage of being brought up as a child in the gospel, most importantly is the life long conversion process which I have been blessed to have. Like so many others, I have built my testimony line upon line, precept upon precept until I have learned the joy of complete obedience and the attending blessings. I have always held onto faith and hope which made an anchor for my soul; especially through troubled times. I can attribute my complete happiness in the plan of Salvation; for without the Atonement, I could foster no hope for living at peace here or hope to reside with my Heavenly Father again. I am so grateful for the power of the Atonement in my life each day and the Restoration of the gospel with all the Priesthood saving authority and ordinances. My husband & I have been blessed to receive the exalting covenant of eternal marriage in the Lord's Temple and we are so hopeful that because of our love and example, we will see the gospel flow into the lives of our posterity so they too can enjoy the blessings of eternal life with hope of a glorious Resurrection.

How I live my faith

I love to read the teachings of Christ and His living Prophets and continue to lift my life towards Christ by obedience to His laws. We believe in living so our "Lights will so shine, that men may see our good works and glorify our Father in Heaven" I am serving my Savior by fulfilling my blest calling as a daughter who strives each day to love & serve all God's children, obey the commandments and keep my baptisimal & temple covenants. I am a devoted mother and wife. I perfect my life through my thoughts and actions as I strive to emulate the example of my Savior
