Hi I'm John

I live in Hawaii. I have been married for almost a year. I love to sing and love spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I love to go snowboarding, play ultimate frisbee, and write articles for my school's newspaper. I'm a college student, majoring in English and accounting, but I hope to go to Hawaii to get my degrees. I'm part Polynesian, from Niue, and I speak Samoan, from serving a mission there. I love the Samoan people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the happiness I feel from knowing and trying to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At first, when I was little, I didn't know what it meant to be a Mormon. Now, I've learned that being a Mormon, or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at its core means following and becoming like Jesus Christ one decision at a time. The reason most people refer me as a Mormon because of a book called the Book of Mormon. It's another volume of scripture that testifies solely that Jesus is the Christ, the Redeemer and Savior of you and me. Upon reading its pages, I came to know and still continue to grow in my understanding that Jesus Christ is my loving, gentle, forgiving Savior, if I choose to follow Him. I know that He lives! He beckons to all "Come unto me." He can heal us and lift us to where we may enjoy all the blessings that He and our Heavenly Father have. That's why I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I teach 9 and 10 year old kids about the Savior's life at church. I love to learn about the scriptures, so I take religion classes with other college students at school
