Hi I'm Nathan

I am from Camas Washington and I'm studying social work at BYU-Idaho. I served a two year mission in Fresno, California.

About Me

I am a huge dork. my interests include superheroes, drawing superheroes, watching cartoons, movies, and going to the gym so I can look like Batman. I am the fourth oldest of a family of 8 kids with two awesome parents. I work at a center for developmentally disabled people and, though it is difficult at times, it is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had. I have received countless blessings from my Heavenly Father and I often feel that I am not deserving of his kindness and mercy. It is wonderful to know that it is only through our Savior Jesus Christ that I will be able to repent and be worthy of the blessings God has in store.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints because nothing in this world gives me a better sensation of pure happiness and comfort than knowing that through the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us, we can be made clean of all our past mistakes that we have made, we can live again with our Father in Heaven, and I can live together with my family in the Kingdom of our loving God. I am a member of Christ's church because I know that through obedience to God's commandments we can be blessed without end. I know this church is truly Christ's church. I know because I asked God with a "sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in christ",(Moroni 10: 4) and He manifested the truth of it to me through the power of the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that by the power of the Holy Ghost "ye may know the truth of all things", (Moroni 10:5). I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by service to God and to my fellow sons and daughters of God, and by obedience to the will of our Father in Heaven. I chose to serve a mission because God has a work for me to do. I always knew that it would'nt be easy, but I know that the Lord would provide a way for me to accomplish the things that he wants me to do.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

We know that it is only through making specific covinents with our Heavenly Father that we can enter into the Glory of His Kindom, and the first of those covinents we make is baptism by immersion. Being baptized shows our willingness to listen and obay the commandments of our Heavenly Father and try our best to live the way Christ would live throughout our life. Once we are baptized we are then able to recieve one of the greatest gifts of all, the Gift of the Holy Ghost. This gift will be one of peace and comfort and direction for those who recieve it. When we recieve it we are also confirmed as members of Christ's church on the earth. I envite all to seriously consider making this covinent with God, knowing from experiance that it is the one true gate that we must enter. Show more Show less
