Hi I'm Blake Harrison

I'm from Idaho. I'm a grateful husband and big brother, a photographer, an automotive tech, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho. I grew up wrestling, playing baseball, and being involved in so many things. I served and LDS Mission in the Midwest. I am an automotive technician, and a photographer. I love serving others. I am grateful to be a big-brother. My parents and my siblings have taught me so many things, that make me the person I am today. I am also currently a college student studying Communications. I have aspirations to also teach in the Church Education System. I look forward to becoming a father in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know with all my heart that Jesus Christ lives! He is with our Heavenly Father. They love us, and have established and restored this Church as their Church on the Earth. I grew up in this Church, and was blessed with an incredible family and a strong testimony. I know that the doctrines that we believe and declare are true doctrines of our Father in Heaven. I am a member of this church because it is led by Jesus Christ, through a living Prophet just as Noah or Moses! How comforting to know that our Heavenly Father loves us, and has given us direction and guidance and warnings through his servants. Foremost I am a member of this church because I have prayed to God, and asked him in sincere prayer for guidance many times in my life. Through personal revelation from God, and by inspiration from the Holy Ghost, I know that this is Christ's true church on the earth. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, The Book of Mormon, the Bible, and all other principles that we embrace have and will always be a powerful source of guidance for me in my life. I love Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven. This is their Church.

How I live my faith

Serving as a missionary brought me the most happiness I have ever experienced. Today as a college student I strive to live my faith by simply serving others and trying to set the best example I can to those around me. I try to help others see the joy that comes from possessing a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that this gospel is true, and I love my Savior. The Lord has asked us to show our love by keeping his commandments, and by feeding His sheep. As I try my hardest to do this, the Lord has increased my faith and capacity to serve him. Every day, the Lord blesses me with Charity or his pure love, and that is my motive to live my faith.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Blake Harrison
Faith is a belief in something that we can't see physically, but trust and know to be true, such as the belief in Jesus Christ. Faith is a principle of action. I believe that we can increase our faith by action; that is actively serving and living principles that promote and share our faith. If we have true faith, we will live, share, and exemplify our faith in everything that we do. One way I have increased my faith is by exercising Hope. Hope is an abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promises. Faith and Hope go hand in hand. When we have absolute trust in the Savior and his promises, then we can better act and live our faith, thus leading us to a progressive increase of faith in Jesus Christ and his Gospel. What is the Book of Mormon?

Blake Harrison
The Book of Mormon is a record of scripture from ancient America. It is a historical record and also the literal word of God, spoken by the mouths of Prophets who lived in and ministered to the children of God that inhabited the Americas the same time additional of God's children inhabited the Holy Lands. It is a second witness that Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah, the Savior of the world. It teaches and testifies of Him. The Book of Mormon is also proof that there is a living Prophet on the earth today. You can hold this evidence in your hands, you can read it, and pray to God and ask Him, the only source of truth, if it is true. This great book of scripture holds the promise that if you read and ponder its message of the Savior Jesus Christ, and ask God, with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, if this book is true, that God will manifest the truthfulness of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost. I bear you my testimony that the Book of Mormon is true. It is an absolute guide for me in my life. It helps maintain my steady course as a disciple of Christ. It is an immovable iron rod on the straight and narrow path. The doctrines it teaches are the doctrines of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
