Hi I'm Kurt

I'm the CEO of a housing management and development organization. I volunteer in my community. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, father, and grandfather. I've found great joy in all. In addition, I'm active in my community, volunteering my time in a variety of causes, including ending homelessness and supporting youth. Physical activity is also important to me, and I play tennis, run, hike, camp, and enjoy being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by a father and mother who had embraced the Mormon faith and ensured that the teachings of Jesus Christ were a part of our home. As I grew older, I began to appreciate how the principles and values of the gospel brought strength to me and my siblings. I wanted the gospel to be a part of my life as I began my own family. My wife shares my faith and we have raised our children in a home where we have tried to pattern our lives after the example and teachings of the Savior. We still have our struggles, but we know where to find peace and comfort in a complex world.

How I live my faith

I'm currently the Bishop of my local Mormon congregation. This is volunteer position, as are all positions in the church. My responsibilities include seeing that the spiritual and temporal needs of our congregation's members are met. I love those that I serve. I see examples of selfless service every day as members seek out the poor and needy, not only in the church, but in the greater community. The principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ are also a part of my professional life, where I work as the CEO of an organization that addresses affordable housing needs in our community. I'm grateful that I can incorporate gospel principles in both my personal and professional activities and responsibilities. This gives me strength and helps me to be successful in all my pursuits.
