Hi I'm Kennedy

I am an identical twin, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the Utah Salt Lake City South mission. I was attending University before my mission and am planning to return when I am finished. I grew up on a farm in Canada with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. ... and no, my twin sister is not serving a mission. She is married with a baby.

Why I am a Mormon

My family have been part of the church for a few generations. During my first year of college, I remember sitting in church and asking myself why I was even there. I sat and reflected on whether it was for my friends, for the approval of my family, or most importantly, for myself. The sad part was that I honestly didn't know. I had never looked into other religions and felt very ignorant. I decided to take some time and investigate what other religions believed and how exactly they practiced those beliefs. All I knew was that I wanted religion be a large part of who I was. In order to become more educated, I took as many classes as I could in school about religion and read many books about it as well. I started attending different congregations to see how other people applied the concepts they were being taught. Much of the time I felt like I was just punching in a time slot. I would go to church on Sunday and wouldn't feel enlightened or very focused on spiritual things till the next Sunday regardless of how much I studied. I didn't find a church that made much of a difference in my daily life, which was what I was looking for. After more than a year, I decided to look into this church from an outsiders view. As I did so, I could tell a difference immediately in my life. It satisfied my constant yearning for knowledge and I truly felt closer to my Father in Heaven. I found myself pondering more throughout the week and my scripture study became much more meaningful. I knew that this was the religion that would answer all the questions that I had and that this was where I and the Lord would have me raise my future family.

How I live my faith

Right now I have dedicated my life for a year and a half to help others gain the understanding I have. I live my faith by inviting everyone to learn more about Christ and teaching them how they can apply the Gospel to their lives.
