Hi I'm Kristin

I graduated in Advertising. I live by the beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old and live in Florida with my husband. I grew up in Chicago, went to college, and am now working with our family business. My family owns and operates 6 McDonald's franchises in our area. I love running, shopping, cooking, and relaxing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it makes me happy. We believe in simple principles that make immense impacts. My favorite thing about being a Mormon is that I have a deep understanding of life. I know where I was before I came to earth, I know my purpose here, and I know where we go when we die. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each one of us. I live for a purpose, to return to my Heavenly Father again. Having a purpose in life has made all the difference in the way I live it. I'm not just here on earth for myself. After years, I finally realized I am here for something bigger than just me.

How I live my faith

I go to church every sunday. My husband and I are in charge of the Young Single Adults (YSA's) in our ward. YSA's are singles in our church from ages 18-30. We get together on Sunday during church and during the week. We go to sporting events, restaurants, and activities like bowling. It's hard to be young and have standards in our society. We try to get our group together often so it's not hard. I also teach lessons in our women's organization every few weeks.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

This is something that may be a little different than you're used to because many other religions believe that the Holy Ghost is part of a Trinity, which means that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are one. This one major belief that sets us apart from other religions. We actually believe that God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are separate beings. Jesus Christ is God's son and our brother, while the Holy Ghost can be our constant companion, as long as we let it be. We consider the Holy Ghost a gift and often refer to it as the "Gift of the Holy Ghost." You officially receive this gift after you are baptized. The Holy Ghost is what testifies of the truth. When you hear something that you know to be true, that is the Holy Ghost testifying to you. It helps us to know the good from the bad. All of us try to live our lives so that we may have its constant companionship. When we listen to inappropriate stuff or put ourselves in bad situations, the Holy Ghost can leave our presence. Are Mormons Christians?

YES! We are CHRISTans. That's why our church is officially named The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Christians believe in Christ and that's what our beliefs are centered around. Show more Show less
