Hi I'm Jordan

I ride motorcycles, love to read, play video games and am a full time missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 25 year old male currently surving a two year mission for the LDS church in Torreon, MX! I enjoy or at least can tolerate all kinds of music, as well as reading, playing video games and watching movies. I really like to travel and spend time with my small but tight circle of friends as well as play all kinds of games; Video, sports, cards, doesn't matter. I am supported by my 2 time cancer surviving mother and my sister who I love very dearly and are my life. My father passed away not too long ago from a short battle with cancer after ordaining me an elder in the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I´m a mormon because I know that Jesus is my savior and that the things we live everyday are true! I´ve experienced these things personally in my life through the many challenges I have faced and do face every day. Through these things my savior was able to make himself known to me and bless me with his strength so that I could not only overcome my trials but become better and stronger from them as well. The gospel doesn´t have a huge place in my family, there´s only a few of us that are active and believing members, but I´ve seen it bless everyone in my family. It´s made those of us that really take part in the church happier and better people that care about the lives and challenges of our brothers and sisters. It´s taken me a long time to know of the truth of the church, but as I searched and had faith it was made known to me, just as it can be to any other honest seeker.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a good example to those around me as well as being open to answering any questions those people might have. I also exorcise my faith currently by serving a 2 year full time mission for the church.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Of course not! We try our best to be like Jesus, did Jesus just help the righteous? We love all people and wish to help all people regardless of faith, nationality, creed or sexual orientation. We are all Gods children and we all deserve to be treated as such. This is what God has taught us and this is what we try to do. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

The lifestyle can seem strict at times, but it is very rewarding in many ways. We live clean, wholesome lives of service and love to EVERYONE, not just each other. We encourage love to all, charity, hard work and healthy habits in all that we do and say. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is our belief and love of the gospel expressed through words. It is a statement of what we know to be true and what we have seen and felt in our lives. When I tell you that I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and that I know the Book of Mormon that he translated are true words, that is my testimony of those things. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

We proselyte because we believe that as partakers of the many blessings of the gospel, we also have a responsability to share it with others. We enjoy in abundance the blessings of God, so it would be selfish not to share them. The news of the restored gospel is for everyone, everyone needs to hear it and the sooner they do, the faster they will have access to the many blessings that it brings. Show more Show less
