Hi I'm Aaron Young

I'm a husband and father of two beautiful girls. I'm still a momma's boy. I love BYU sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I live in Richmond Virginia and are raising two beautiful, active, spunky little girls. We love having family dance parties, going to the park and FaceTiming family across the country. Life is an adventure and we are trying to learn and have fun every step of the way!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I believe it and I know it is true. The doctrine of the Mormon church is comforting to me. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and who sent his Son to die for me. I know that Heavenly Father restored the church to the earth through Joseph Smith. It makes sense to me because the church was taken away from the earth during the apostasy and it had to be restored by the Lord himself. To me, the Bible is very clear about those doctrines. I have experienced countless blessings from my membership in the Church. I follow the teachings of the living prophet because I believe he receives revelation from our Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I choose to be and it makes sense to me both intellectually and spiritually.

How I live my faith

Being a Latter-day Saint is a lifestyle that I choose to live. It is not merely going to church on Sunday. As a matter of fact, I feel like I am more of a Mormon Monday-Saturday than I do on Sunday. I live my faith through action and doing what I think the Savior would do if he was on the earth. Being nice to people, serving others, helping a friend in need, telling a stranger something nice; these are all ways I live my faith. There are always moments to serve others and lighten the burden of somebody else. My faith grows when I see other people doing good.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Aaron Young
I know that there is a God because when I pray to him, I feel that he is there and he knows me and will answer my prayers. Prayer is not reserved for any one religion. God loves all his Children the same and will answer their prayers equally. The genuine seeker of truth through prayer can have that prayer answered. I have learned that if I seek an answer to a righteous desire or question that I have, I know I will receive an answer. It might not always be in the time that I want, but it will be answered. This is how I know God is there. Show more Show less
