Hi I'm Dennis Doutre

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I am now an engineer. My wife and I have 5 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy working with Boy Scouts. I am a gardener. I am a sports enthusiast.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at eight years old. I have been blessed my entire life for my association with the Mormon church. I have learned so very much about my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ through my full participation in this church. I feel the influence of the Holy Spirit in my daily life and I enjoy comfort and peace and hope that the 'good new's of the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily as I serve in my ward as Bishop. This means that I have the great privilege of meeting with the other ward organization leaders in council to do our best to help ward members to become self-reliant (spiritually and temporally). We try very hard to help others draw closer to God through practice of gospel principles. I have been richly blessed to meet with and gain strength from other members, old and young. Our youth are amazing! They love the Lord and show that love through their actions and lives. When I meet with them (individually and collectively) I am inspired by their faith and devotion to Heavenly Father. They face difficult challenges on a daily basis and yet, so many of them meet the challenges with great courage and with strong faith in Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

Dennis Doutre
I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love the New Testament that testifies of His life and ministry. I love the Book of Mormon that also testifies of His unmatched role in our lives. I know that I will be able to live again with my Heavenly Father, only through the merciful and grace-filled Atonement of Christ. I am nothing without Him. I love Him and I trust Him. He is my Redeemer. I am forever thankful for Him. I want to be like Him. Show more Show less
