Hi I'm Micah Rogers

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four. I have been married to my wife for twelve years. We love to travel the world and see new places. Our family likes to go camping, fishing, and go to the sand dunes to ride quads. We love to spend time together as a family. I like to be outside doing something. I enjoy riding my mountain bike, fly fishing, hunting, and any other fasted paced outdoor activity. I am a partner in an insurance agency that specializes in commercial insurance.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith however there comes a time in everyones life that they want to know what is true and what is not, whether your parents taught it to you or not. When I was 13 I had a desire to know if the Book of Mormon was true. My Sunday School teacher said it was. My mom and dad said it was so I wanted to find out for myself. I started to read it. I had heard from my parents that if you needed help to ask Heavenly Father. So I read a few chapters in the Book of Mormon. As a typical night I got on my knees to pray before I went to bed. I asked Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was true, like I had asked the previous nights. I am 34 years old and I still remember the overwhelming feeling I had that particular night. I felt a burning sensation from the top of my head to my toes. I felt peace. I had received my answer. By knowing the Book of Mormon was true I then knew that Joseph Smith was a true prophet because he translated it. I also knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was a true church. From my simple prayer and desire a testimony was born. I knew for myself what was true. That is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

Believing in something is one but to serve is living it. I live my faith everyday by striving to be like Christ in serving others. I do this by first serving my family and being a provider for them. Second I serve the youth in our church. I participate in weekly acticvities with them. I want to help the future. I also serve in the community. I am on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization that help families in need.
