Hi I'm Ariel

I will become a mom in July. I met my husband playing soccer. And I'm LDS.

About Me

I got married a little over a year ago, to a stud. It's crazy that I'm going to be a mom, and really terrifying: I have no idea what's going to happen, or what kind of a parent I'm going to be. But the Lord will help. I'm in college right now, and have been studying Psychology up until recently. Now, I think what I'd like to learn most aren't all things you learn in a University classroom but more hands-on skills: woodworking, cooking, rock climbing, sewing, etc. It's kind of a scary feeling to not be sure what you want to do for a career, but I also feel really excited: it's like I'm at the beginning of a new adventure. I can't wait to see where life takes me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my heart and soul tell me to be. I heard a quote in church on Sunday, that went something like this, "People don't join the church because of what they know, but because of what they feel and what they want spiritually." I think that puts it well-I don't know or understand all there is to understand about Mormonism. But it feels right, more right than anything else I've ever explored in my life. I'm not a perfect person, and I probably will never be. But I hope to be much better and being a part of the Lord's restored church is the best way to reach that goal.

How I live my faith

My husband and I serve in our congregation on the missionary committee. Our job is basically to make sure those in our area who are struggling with their faith can find the answers they're looking for. We also try to help everyone feel welcome and wanted-everyone needs a friend.
