Hi I'm Kirk

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Dad of four daughters, and husband to the most amazing woman on earth. I love to scuba dive, snorkel, boogie board, fish, hunt, ski, camp, travel, visit historical sites, or just enjoy the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because when I was 18 years old I prayed for myself to find out if the Book of Mormon was true. I received my answer in an undeniable, warm, amazing way. I can still see in my mind where I was in my room when the answer came to me. I knew that everything that I had been taught was true. I knew that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and cares about the things that I do. I knew that His Son, my elder brother, gave his life for me that I may repent and return with my Father. I know these things as strongly, or more so, even 30 years later.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping in mind the will of my Father. I try each day to live up to his expectations and my potential.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe that it is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. As a Sunday School teacher of the 10-11 year old boys last year, our course of instruction was the Old Testament. It was good to see how much the boys knew and how much more they would learn. Although I needed to make a few corrections and let them know that Veggie Tales wasn't 100% accurate, it was nice to see they had learned the basics from the Old Testament. This year we are studying the New Testament and the life of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to Him and all He did for me. I know that He is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. He is the example we should all try to follow. Show more Show less
