Hi I'm Carolee

I'm a soon-to-be mother, professional lifestyle photographer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in 4 countries and 8 states. I love to travel and speak 2 other languages besides English. I have a Fine Art Degree in Photography and enjoy sharing this talent with others. I am passionate about art and culture and am married to my best friend. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our first child this summer!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family devoted to Christ and to His teachings. My parents taught me at a very young age how to gain my own personal testimony. I grew up reading and loving the scriptures. These are reasons why I am still Mormon to this day. I love the peace and joy that comes from the knowledge of the Gospel of Christ. I love the influence that this knowledge has had in my life. I have sought after opportunities to strengthen this testimony and my faith. I served a mission for the Church in Latvia and due to my service, a love and greater understanding of the Atonement has blessed my life. I know that the relationships we have with those in our lives are really the most important things that we can have and feel that the church helps us to know how to best cherish these relationships.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day through my interactions with my family, friends and church members. I enjoy reading and studying the scriptures on my own and together with my husband. We pray to begin and end each day. It brings such a wonderful spirit into our home to share this time together. My husband and I attend church together every Sunday and we enjoy every opportunity we have to make new friends in and out of the church. We do not hide behind our faith but acknowledge its part in our lives. I am who I am because of what I believe.

In whom should we have faith?

Carolee
Our faith should be in Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and Redeemer. Through him all things are possible. We develop more faith in Christ as we strive to be obedient. He was perfectly obedient in all things and as we follow his example we will more readily see and understand the hand of God in our lives. Show more Show less

What is the Relief Society?

Carolee
Relief Society is the greatest thing that has happened for women (in my opinion). It is a divine organization that's central focus is Charity. Each Sunday, the women of the church gather together in their different meeting houses to learn, sing and commune together. This is a time where we can be with other women of all ages and where we can feel sisterly love. In this environment we are able to openly discuss the experiences that have helped us gain stronger testimonies in Christ. The Relief Society also has regular activities where we gather together to learn valuable skills and to provide service and humanitarian aid to those in our neighborhoods and throughout the world. As a young soon-to-be mother, I greatly appreciate the wisdom and love that I feel from the other sisters in Relief Society. I know that if I have any needs, get sick, am unable to prepare meals for my family, need a babysitter, (you name it!) that there are sisters literally only minutes away that can come lighten my load. And I am willing and able to do the same. I love Relief Society. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Carolee
When we have faith in Christ we feel a great spirit of peace and harmony. Feelings of conflict, contention and disharmony do not come from God or through faith. They are emotions that the adversary would have us feel to distract us from the true purpose of our relationships in this life. When we do positive things with those we love like serving, studying the scriptures, and praying together the joy in our lives and closeness in our relationships increases. Sharing these beliefs has greatly helped me in my marriage. I am married to my best friend. He's my better half. But he's also my complete opposite. Naturally we don't always agree on things, but our faith in Christ is our foundation and with the help of the Lord we are always able to better understand one another and better communicate. I love praying at the close of each day with my husband. It brings us closer together as we communicate with our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
