Hi I'm Wes Russell

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Sales and Operations professional in the auto glass industry for 33 years. I am a husband of 33 years and father of four (2 Boys and 2 Girls) with our 6 grandchild on the way. I have loved to play a game of golf and spent many years camping as a Boy Scout leader.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young boy I remember attending a funeral of my great-grandfather. I remember the feeling of being very upset that we must all die. I even had nightmares about dying and that I would never exist again. I saw a book on a shelf that was Book of Mormon stories for children and was prompted to read some of the stories. I don't remember the book but do remember the feeling of peace that it brought me. I learned that because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ that we would all live beyond the grave. Although my activity in the church was less active, I attended when I could get a ride or to play sports. When I was a senior in high school I several difficult decisions ahead and I felt I needed to find out if all the things that I had been taught were true. I drove to the foothills above my home and for the first time in my life I had actually addressed my Father in Heaven in a real and sincere prayer. I felt a calm that I had never experienced. I knew things were going to be OK. Within a few months I meet a young lady that I wanted to get to know. She taught me that membership should not be a causal thing. I began to study and take my search more seriously. I was also visited by a young men advisor who invited me to attend my meetings more frequently. I began to feel the same spirit as I listened to his teachings that I felt when I had prayed. It became so clear and I know it was true. I learned that there was a real Father in Heaven and he answered my prayers! I have learned that the love he has for us caused him to give his only Begotten Son so that all might live again! (PS - After fulfilling a mission to Ireland for 2 years - that young lady that I meet and I have been married 33 years)

How I live my faith

I have strived to live my life by following the example that Jesus Christ set in my personal and professional life. I hope all that have known me personally or associated with me in business know of my belief in Jesus Christ by the way I have acted or treated them. I attend church every Sunday and is a very important part of my weekly activity. I have also been fortunate to teach the youth for many years as well as the adult in a variety of class settings.
